Increase the load capacity up to 80% compared to the same-sized single row ball slewing bearing

There are two kinds of double-row ball slewing bearings. One is with different ball diameters used in light weight application. The other one is eight-point contact bearings with two same ball raceways. You can simply think of it as two single-row ball bearings stacked together.

Just like single-row ball bearings, these double-row bearings can also handle axial, radial and tilting moment loads. However, due to the added row of balls, the load capacity of these bearings it typically 80% higher than the single-row version.

Having a higher load capacity, these double-row bearings are more suitable for. heavier duty applications such as tower cranes, truck-mounted cranes, tunnel boring machines, etc.
